Various Consultancy Roles and Private Work

Dylan is an Athletic Performance Coach currently working within elite academy football across the UK and Ireland. He is currently the Lead Academy Strength and Conditioning Coach at Swansea City AFC, where he works full-time with the U18 squad while overseeing the athletic development provision across the U9–U16 age groups. Alongside his current role, Dylan has previously worked with elite athletes through positions with Kerry Football Club Academy, Tempo Football and Kaipara Academy, supporting athletes across multiple stages of the development pathway.

His primary areas of interest lie within long-term athletic development, injury prevention and return-to-play performance.

Dylan has developed extensive experience supporting athletes through the physical demands of elite sport, ranging from foundational athletic development in youth athletes to preparing players for the demands of high-performance competition. Working with athletes across grassroots, academy and international levels has allowed him to develop a coaching philosophy that blends evidence-based practice with the individual needs of each athlete.

What sets Dylan apart from other performance coaches is his ability to combine scientific understanding with lived experience. Having represented club and country at elite youth level himself, he understands the physical, psychological and lifestyle demands placed upon aspiring athletes within professional academy environments. These experiences have shaped his coaching philosophy and continue to influence the way he supports athlete development today. Rather than focusing solely on performance testing and gym-based outputs, Dylan places significant importance on understanding the athlete as an individual and building a coach athlete relationship that promotes confidence, resilience and long-term progression.

Dylan strongly believes that successful athletic development extends far beyond strength programmes and monitoring data alone. Coach-athlete relationships, communication, consistency and athlete education all play critical roles in maximising performance and long-term development. His coaching philosophy is centred around developing robust, adaptable and self-aware athletes who are physically and mentally prepared for the long-term demands of elite sport.

Through his coaching, Dylan aims to bridge the gap between elite sport science and practical athlete development by delivering high-quality, proven training methods that remains athlete-centred, realistic and performance driven.
